Why use a Torque Plate?
A Torque Plate fitted to an engine block and properly torqued down acts as a substitute for the cylinder head. This puts stress on the block and deforms it the same way as the cylinder head causing it to be bored and honed in it’s normal operating situation thereby getting better power output.
