Ford Ranger 3.2 Litre 5 Cylinder Torque Plate.

Pictured here is a Ford Ranger 3.2 Litre 5 Cylinder Torque Plate which we recently custom made for Engine Australia. Torque Plates are bolted onto the block and torqued down as you would a cylinder head. This causes the cylinder bores to deform. When you bore and hone the cylinder it will finish round. When you remove the Torque Plate the cylinders will deform again. When you replace the cylinder head and retorque it on the block the bores will be round again thereby giving better performance. We can make a torque plate to suit most engines. They are available in alloy and Steel Steel with finished hole size to suit your requirements.
